Michiel Erdtsieck was born in Amsterdam in 1968. He loves Jesus Christ and has a heart for people, young and old. He feels at home in a diversity of different cultures and loves to bring people of different backgrounds together at home and abroad. He initiates making contact with new people and staying in touch with them regularly. He loves to support people with spiritual help. To listen to and to encourage them, to coach or to inspire them. Often in a creative manner. He and his wife Roos initiate various activities for all kinds of people. Together they are the initiators of Foundation Light. They both share a passion for Jesus, the lost and the needy. Michiel’s passion is discipling people at home and abroad. One of his oneliners is “Discipling starts before anyone has made the choice to follow Christ.”
He also loves to encourage followers of Christ to become more passionate about following Jesus, to help them to find the will of God for their lives and growing in their relationship with Jesus and the Holy Spirit. He initiates discipleship journeys abroad.
In The Netherlands he and his wife are part of a team that run a Walk-in-house. A house open to anyone. First of all to practically help people and to listen to them. Secondly to connect Christians with non-Christians. A place where they both can grow.
